Our Asian cuisine is a mix of Vietnamese cuisine, Indochinese cuisine and grilled dishes. At Nhat Long Restaurant Berlin Mitte you can try different Pho soups, which guests say is the best Pho in Berlin, or enjoy our Hanoi soul food with the legendary Bún chả – the street food classic from Hanoi, which even US President Barack Obama enjoyed during his visit to Hanoi.

Soup & PHỞ

Phở – The taste of Vietnam. From early morning until late at night, many Vietnamese eat the aromatic noodle soup. In the beginning, Pho consisted of water buffalo meat cooked in broth, which was eaten with rice noodles. With the French colonisation in the 19th century, beef replaced water buffalo and it received its current name. The French called the dish pot-au-feu, which means “pot on the fire”, and through Vietnamese spelling it became pho.

US President Barack Obama sat on a flimsy plastic stool and ate Bún Chả with celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain at a restaurant in Hanoi. Since then, the Bún Chả Huong Lien restaurant has seen a rush of customers. According to Tuoitrenews, many flock to try the dish, which is called “Bún Chả Obama”.
